SideDoor Design Studio was founded by designers Carolyn Scroggs and Kathy Booker while struggling to find resources for aging family members. We found that although many individual products and services exist, they require a lot of coordination and time for a homeowner to attend to. As former project managers for a Fortune 400 company, we knew that by combining our interior design talents and “get it done” project successes, a much-needed service could be made available to the growing number of people that want to make their homes a part of their future. With a passion for making functional design beautiful as well as accessible, our goal is to make your home a special place where you can enjoy your independence for years to come. As designers, we go beyond what a contractor alone might offer, and integrate the latest technology, lighting, fabrics and furnishings to provide a solution that is as beautiful as it is functional.
As long time Orange County residents, we are your neighbors. Our company name comes from our past, where the “Side Door” to our homes was used by friends and family, always open, no need to knock and a cup of coffee always ready to be poured. The front door was meant for formal occasions and the occasional Fuller Brush man. Our clients are friends and family to us, and we welcome you to come around to our “Side Door” and let us make your home comfortable and inviting to all.
